MZA secured planning permission for a rear extension at lower ground floor level and associated increase in height of the boundary walls to rear garden (Retrospective) in the City of Westminster.
MZA submitted this application on behalf of a regular client who needed the team to submit a retrospective application for a rear extension that had not been built in accordance with approved plans. To make matters worse, the next door neighbour also objected to the application.
The case was referred to committee by Westminster council as the proposal raised some key issues including:
-
Is the extension acceptable?
-
What kind of impact would be caused by the extension on the amenity of the neighbouring property?
