It gives us joy when we can help clients overturn a council’s decision! Just recently, MZA Planning was successful in appealing a refusal that was issued to our client. Our client submitted an application for a vehicle crossover, and it was refused on the basis that the proposal would result in the disruption to the free flow of traffic and would be detrimental to highway and pedestrian safety.
In support of the appeal, our team argued that the development complied with planning policies and that installing a vehicle crossover at the address would not harm the flow of traffic or pedestrian safety due to a high level of inter-visibility by removing on-street parking at this location, widening the usable road surface and visibility for flowing traffic. Based on this argument, the Inspector proceeded to allow the appeal and our client can now install the vehicle crossover as he had initially desired.
